Europcar points to demand for low-carbon transport among UK businesses
New research undertaken by Europcar reveals that 85 per cent of firms surveyed rated reducing the carbon footprint and environmental impact of business travel as ‘important’ or ‘very important’. Some 44 per cent of those surveyed by Europcar would consider using electric vehicles to improve future business travel for their organisation.
Europcar adds BMW range to UK fleet
Europcar is extending the range vehicles available from its ‘Selection’ fleet with the addition, of a range of BMW models. Giving drivers even more choice when it comes to a premium motoring experience, the five new models from BMW are now available for hire across the UK.
Ubeeqo launches across south London
Ubeeqo, the innovative mobility start-up that delivers transport options for Londoners, has launched its new car club service called Matcha across Wandsworth. Matcha will provide local people even better access to pay-as-you-go vehicles and has 29 new cars in the borough, with plans to increase the local fleet over the course of the year.
Europcar welcomes first Go Ultra Low cities in UK
Europcar has welcomed the creation of the UK’s first Go Ultra Low cities, announced earlier this week. Transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin announced the winners of the Go Ultra Low City Scheme earlier this week, with the winning cities – London, Bristol, Milton Keynes and Nottingham – set to roll out a range of initiatives, from rapid-charging hubs and street lighting that double as charge points, to access to bus lanes and free parking for electric cars.
Ubeeqo to bring mobility app to streets of Paris
Ubeeqo, the innovative mobility start-up in which Europcar took a majority share in 2015, is launching its unique mobility app in London and Paris. Providing access to cars for use by the hour, as well as conventional taxi and car rental services, the Ubeeqo app challenges the convention of car ownership, tapping into the growing sharing economy.
Europcar appoints new public sector director
Underpinning its appointment to the Crown Commercial Service Vehicle Hire Services Framework, Europcar, the leader in car hire services in Europe, has appointed Andrew Franklin as its new director, public sector. With more than 23 years working in the fleet industry, including six years as head of public sector for Lex Autolease, Franklin will be spearheading Europcar’s clear focus on the mobility requirements of public sector organisations.

Europcar celebrates Lawn Tennis Association partnership
