Emirates adds fifth US gateway
Emirates is launching its new service from Dallas/Fort Worth to Dubai. It is the fifth gateway for Emirates in the United States, and the fourth new route to join the airline’s international network in 2012.

Emirates plans East Africa service
Emirate is planning to offer customers a quicker and more convenient link to Uganda, with the introduction of a direct service. Emirates will operate an Airbus A330-200 on its Entebbe routes in a three-class configuration, featuring 12 luxurious First Class seats, 42 seats in Business Class and generous space for 183 passengers in Economy Class.
Emirates strengthens its commitment to Iraq
In an initiative to support developing Iraqi business segments, Emirates has announced a 75 per-cent additional capacity increase between Dubai and Baghdad, growing its services to seven flights per week.
Emirates doubles Glasgow service
Emirates has underlined its commitment to Scotland with plans to introduce a second daily non-stop flight to Glasgow, commencing 1st June 2012. The additional flight will increase Emirates’ capacity to Glasgow by 47 per cent, an extra 199 seats each way per day.
Emirates launches Dublin services
Emirates, which has been nominated for an astonishing 12 World Travel Awards including World’s Leading Airline, has launched its new Dublin route. It is the third new route to be added to Emirates’ route network in the opening days of 2012 as the airline forges forward with its global expansion.

Emirates links Dubai to Rio and Buenos Aires with new flight
Emirates has extended its South American network by linking Dubai with Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, further broadening the airline’s reach across the Americas. Emirates’ inaugural Flight 247 made its first landing at Galeao-Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport in Rio de Janeiro (pictured), where it was initiated by a traditional water cannon salute.
Emirates brings Airbus A380 to Malaysia
Emirates celebrated the New Year in a ‘big’ way by becoming the first airline to operate a scheduled Airbus A380 service to Malaysia. The airline’s flagship, operating as EK346, piloted by Malaysian national Captain Kwong Yung Ling arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) earlier to a traditional welcome of a water canon salute.
Emirates set to launch new Rio service
Emirates is preparing to launch daily services to the 2014 FIFA World Cup host city from 3rd January 2012. The new direct service to Rio de Janeiro, with an onward extension to Buenos Aires, will provide seamless connections to Emirates’ network of more than 100 destinations worldwide.
