Rail passengers benefit from improved winter contingency plans
East Midlands Trains today announced a package of measures to reassure passengers that it is better prepared than ever before to deal with severe weather following last year’s harsh winter.
East Midlands trains marks Train makeover with a special community trip
The team of station volunteers from the North Staffordshire Community Rail Line and representatives from Forsbrook Parish Council joined East Midlands Trains on 22 November, for a special trip to mark the train operators’ £5 million refurbishment of the trains operating on the Derby-Crewe line.
East Midlands trains commuter service to run from Ambergate, Belper and Duffield
Additional morning peak service to run from Ambergate to Derby, with stops at Belperand Duffield. Even more options to connect with other train services at Derby for Nottingham,Leicester, London and Birmingham. New service will start from Monday 12 December 2011.
