England cricket captain and Children’s Hospital Charity Patron, Michael Vaughan, is to name a newly refurbished train in honour of The Children’s Hospital, Sheffield.

More passengers are satisfied with their East Midlands Trains service than ever before, according to the latest independent national passenger survey issued today.

East Midlands Trains has confirmed that services continue to run well, despite the heavy snowfall affecting large parts of the country overnight. A full timetable is currently operating on all routes.

East Midlands Trains will once again be using one of its trains to raise some valuable funds for charity this weekend.  Following on from the success of the ‘Mid Norfolk Marauder’, which raised more than £24,000 for the Railway Children’s Charity in 2011, Saturday 4 November will see ‘The Worth Valley Wanderer’ special running in aid of the Samaritans and the Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield.

East Midlands Trains passengers are now benefiting from better mobile phone coverage on trains to London following a partnership with Vodafone UK.

The next phase of the multi-million pound transformation of Nottingham station is about to get underway.  This phase, will see the station transformed into a world-class transport hub. Passengers who used the station from the 7 October will have noticed some changes as they came into effect.
