Caribbean Tourism Development Company re-launches website to boost trade
The Caribbean tourism industry’s marketing and business development unit has taken an important step towards re-launching its vacation website. The Caribbean Tourism Development Company has signed an agreement with the Florida-based graphics company, Tambourine, to redesign and recreate the site.
Challenges facing Caribbean tourism explored at state of industry conference
Luxury travel to the Caribbean is increasing after the global economic slump, according to Ricky Skerritt, chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation. Addressing delegates at first CTO-organised State of the Industry Conference in St Martin, Skerritt also confirmed leisure travel was posting significant gains this year.
Guyana steps up to host CTO conference
Guyana will host the 13th annual Caribbean conference on sustainable tourism development next year. Bermuda’s director of tourism William Griffith passed the symbolic sustainable tourism scroll to the deputy director of the Guyana Tourism Authority, Tameca Sukhdeo-Singh, at the closing of STC-12 in Bermuda on April 6th.
British Airways CEO addresses The Caribbean on autumn visit to the region
Willie Walsh, chief executive of British Airways, is to give the keynote address at the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) leadership strategy conference in Barbados between October 9-12th.
CTO UK Chapter produces 2010 Guide to the Caribbean
The CTO UK Chapter has now released its 52-page 2010 “Guide to the Caribbean”. The team’s UK Chapter will, in the coming weeks, be launching the full colour, glossy, A4 publication, circulating it to 50,000 consumers and members of the travel trade.
