SITA AirportConnect Open comes to Changi Airport
Singapore’s Changi Airport has equipped more than 450 check-in counters and 111 boarding gates with SITA AirportConnect Open. Under the new system, airlines across three terminals at Changi Airport have migrated to this new platform, which supports both agent-assisted and self-service passenger processing.
Record passenger numbers at Changi Airport
Singapore Changi Airport achieved its highest passenger traffic ever for the month of March when it registered 4.61 million passenger movements in March 2013, an increase of 7.7 per cent over the same month last year. Holiday makers travelling over the Good Friday long weekend and the weekend prior contributed to the traffic growth.

Singapore Changi Airport sees record visitors
Singapore Changi Airport experienced its busiest month ever in December 2012 to cross the 50-million passenger movements mark for the first time in the airport’s 31-year history. Passenger traffic for the year totalled 51.2 million, increasing by ten per cent over the whole of 2011.

Changi Airport signs new deal with Narita International
Changi Airport Group and Narita International Airport Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding to intensify collaboration between the two major air transportation hubs. The agreement was signed by Lee Seow Hiang, chief executive of Changi Airport and Kosaburo Morinaka, president of Narita, at the 7th Airports Council International Asia Pacific Regional Assembly held in Singapore last week.
Singapore Changi Airport’s Budget Terminal to close
Changi Airport Group (CAG) has confirmed it will close Singapore Changi Airport’s Budget Terminal on September 25th 2012. The terminal will be demolished to make way for the construction of a larger passenger building so as to cater to the continued growth of air traffic at Changi Airport and further strengthen Singapore’s air hub status.
