Norwegian will launch a new route from London Gatwick to Singapore this winter as the airline’s growing low-cost long-haul UK network expands into Asia for the first time. From September, Norwegian will operate four weekly flights, increasing to five in the winter, from London Gatwick to Singapore Changi Airport.

A consortium comprising Basic Element, one of Russia’s diversified industrial groups, Russian Direct Investment Fund and Changi Airports International has acquired Vladivostok International Airport in Russia’s Far East from Sheremetyevo International Airport. United Airlines will introduce daily non-stop flights between its San Francisco International Airport hub and Singapore’s Changi Airport, from June 1st, 2016, subject to government approval. United will be the first airline to offer nonstop service between San Francisco and Singapore, and this will be the only non-stop service to the US from Singapore.
