British Airways launches My Flightpath to passengers
British Airways has launched a new fun online tool called ‘My Flightpath’ which provides customers with their own personal travelogue. The new feature on ba.com, which is available for anyone who is a member of the British Airways Executive Club, displays a timeline of all their flights since they joined. It highlights the destinations and countries that customers have flown to most frequently and charts all the destinations they’ve flown to on a map.
British Airways brings HBO to the skies
They say time flies when you’re having fun, and British Airways customers will be able to test the theory from today when a new HBO channel launches on long-haul British Airways flights. HBO is a globally recognised brand known for critically acclaimed hits such as Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, Girls, True Detective, Looking and Curb Your Enthusiasm – all of which will be shown on flights.
Avis Budget Group commits to British Airways deal

British Airways has launched its biggest ever summer schedule, brining new routes to market and offering more seats than ever before to summer holiday destinations from London’s Gatwick, Heathrow and City airports. The British Airways summer offers new routes to Austin in Texas, Mykonos and Santorini in Greece, as well as Mediterranean favourites such as Malta, Porto, Malaga and Faro.
Japan Airlines, BA and Finnair begin joint venture
Japan Airlines and fellow oneworld alliance members British Airways and Finnair will start their planned joint business between Europe and Japan tomorrow. The joint business means that the three airlines will share revenue and cooperate on scheduling and pricing between Japan and Europe, providing customers with more flexible routing options and an attractive range of fares.
British Airways boosts Berlin for flights for autumn 2014
British Airways has boosted flights to Berlin for winter 2014 by adding another direct service to the German capital. From Monday to Friday, the airline will increase daily flights to Berlin’s Tegel airport from six to seven and at weekends from five to six.
British Airways brings first class cabin to 787-900 Dreamliner
When the first of British Airways’ new Boeing 787-900 Dreamliners arrive next year, they will be boasting one significant addition - the airline’s next generation First cabin. Frank van der Post, British Airways’ managing director of brands and customer experience, said: “We’re investing billions in new aircraft, smarter cabins, elegant lounges and new technologies to make life more comfortable for our customers.”
British Airways takes Dreamliner into Chennai
British Airways has announced that Chennai is the latest route to benefit from its newly acquired fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The new aircraft will begin flying to the Indian city from October 2014 and Chennai will also increase from six flights a week to a daily service from Heathrow.
New appointment for British Airways
British Airways’ corporate sales chief Luke Goggin has been appointed as the airline’s new area general manager for Europe and North Africa. Luke, who is currently head of corporate sales for the airline, will take up his new role in February following Gavin Halliday’s move to become managing director of flying reward scheme, Avios.
British Airways steps up flights to Barbados
Barbados will soon be gearing up to welcome additional holiday-makers looking for sunshine, as British Airways has announced an increase from ten to 12 flights per week, demonstrating the UK’s long-standing interest in travel to the island. These two extra flights will run from November 30th, 2014 through to February 29th, 2015, with the potential to bring up to nearly 600 extra passengers to the island per week.
