Southwest Airlines Partners with USA BioEnergy for 680 Million Gallons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Southwest Airlines has entered into a significant offtake agreement with USA BioEnergy for up to 680 million gallons of neat sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Over a 20-year term, once blended with conventional jet fuel, this SAF could yield the equivalent of 2.59 billion gallons of net-zero fuel, resulting in a reduction of 30 million metric tons of CO2 emissions.
SAS MAKES IT EASIER TO CHOOSE BIOFUEL
On April 3, SAS launched two ticket types that include biofuel. These will be available on all SAS domestic, Scandinavian and European flights.
