Asiana Airlines launches Seoul-Yangon flight
Asiana Airlines has launched a new route between Seoul, South Korea, and Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. Asiana Airlines now operates two flights per week, departing from Incheon Airport at 19:30 every Wednesday and Saturday and arriving in Yangon at 23:40 local time.
Asiana Airlines offers daily service from Heathrow to Seoul
Asiana Airlines is increasing its scheduled departures from London Heathrow Terminal 1 to Seoul. From 30 October 2011, Asiana will offer daily nonstop service between London Heathrow and Seoul Incheon airport.
Passenger jet comes under South Korean fire
Troops in South Korea have mistakenly opened fire on an Asiana operated passenger jet, in the belief it was a North Korean aircraft. A total of 99 rifle rounds were fired at the passenger jet, all of which failed to hit the target.
