Travel agents using the Amadeus booking platform will have guaranteed full-content access to all British Airways’ fares for another three years, it was announced today (December 21). The deal means consultants will have access to the same range of fares and inventory through Amadeus as they would through the airline’s website and at the same opt-in levels as those established in 2007.

Agents will be able to get access to 90% of the world’s cruises from 16 operators with the launch of a new online booking tool. Amadeus has hired three U.S. banks as global coordinators for a planned initial public offering (IPO), according to a number of industry reports. The suggestion is that the IPO will not take place until next year as Amadeus’s owners seek to raise about 2 billion euros ($2.98 billion) from the sale of both new and existing shares.
