Amadeus examines changing face of UK business travel
Amadeus has today released a report - Amadeus Business Travel Insights: the 21st Century Business Traveller - which charts the behaviour and aspirations of business travellers across the UK. The report is based on a survey of over 400 UK and Ireland adults, who work for large companies and regularly travel for business and was conducted in December 2012, by ICM Research on behalf of Amadeus UK.
Alitalia links with Amadeus for new content deal
Amadeus and Alitalia have signed a long term extension of their content agreement. The deal will allow travel agencies worldwide to have guaranteed access to the full range of fares, schedules and inventory through the Amadeus system.
Amadeus praised for investment commitment by EU
Amadeus has maintained its top sector ranking as one of the leading companies in Europe for investment in Research & Development, according to the European Commission. The 2012 EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard, an annual report published by the EC, examines the largest 1,000 European companies investing in R&D during 2011 and ranks them according to the total amount invested.
Air France-KLM and Amadeus renew vows
Air France-KLM and Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, have renewed their content agreement. Thanks to the deal, travel agencies worldwide will continue to have guaranteed access to the full range of fares and inventory relating to more than 74.8 million seats and 90.000 flights operated annually by Air France and KLM through the Amadeus system.
Malaysia Airlines signs on with Amadeus
Malaysia Airlines has signed a new content agreement with Amadeus which allows all worldwide Amadeus travel agents access to the carrier’s fares, inventory and schedules. The new contract also contemplates the deployment of Amadeus’ sophisticated Distribution functionality to facilitate Malaysia Airlines’ yield management processes throughout the Amadeus network.
Korean Air signs broad Amadeus agreement
Korean Air and Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, have signed a full content agreement providing travel agencies worldwide guaranteed access to the full range of fares and inventory through the Amadeus system. The agreement ensures that Korean Air’s schedules, fares and inventory content is available through all Amadeus points of sale worldwide, including travel agencies and travel management companies.
Amadeus Altéa Departure Control System winning industry support
Amadeus has secured 20 long-term IT agreements with ground handling companies in just 18 months since the launch of the Amadeus Altéa Departure Control System. Once these 20 customers are fully migrated to the new platform by 2015, Amadeus will be processing 85+ million passengers boarded per year through this solution.
Swedish rail operator SJ renews Amadeus partnership
SJ, the largest rail operator in Sweden, and Amadeus have announced they have agreed an extension of their content agreement and a commercial partnership in order to distribute content through additional channels integrated into Amadeus’ Global Rail Sales Platform.

Amadeus has signed a memorandum of understanding stating it will participate in the TOURISMlink project. TOURISMlink is an initiative sponsored by the European Commission designed to facilitate the integration of tourism small and medium-sized business in global industrial value chains through innovative technologies.
Lufthansa sells stake in Amadeus
Lufthansa Group has revealed it has sold 16.2 million shares in Amadeus, reducing its stake in the travel technology company from 7.61% to 4%. With this step the group is further pursuing its active portfolio management.
