Frequent flyer programmes join Worldhotels
The frequent flyer programmes of Scandinavian Airlines and airBaltic as well as the South American loyalty coalition network Multiplus have become the latest partners for Worldhotels. The three partners EuroBonus, BalticMiles and Multiplus complement the largest selection of frequent flyer and loyalty programmes offered by any independent hotel group.

Officials in the Latvian government have agreed to a capital increase for airBaltic to enable the future development of the Latvian national carrier and fleet modernisation. The cabinet of ministers approved a capital increase by LVL57.6 million (US$107 million).

airBaltic shareholders agree to inject over EUR 150 million
Today the shareholders of Latvian national airline AirBaltic agreed in their meeting to finalise technical details until October 4 for the injection of EUR 153 million in new capital financed by its two main shareholders, the Latvian government and Baltic Aviation Systems (BAS).

In June this year, the number of passengers at the base of airBaltic in Riga has increased by 13% compared to the same period last year.

On Monday, Latvian national airline airBaltic will start the first of this summer’s new routes from Riga to Gdansk, Poland.

On June 4, the Latvian national airline airBaltic will start operating flights on Riga- Bari route, linking this Southern Italian city via North Hub Riga with airports in the Baltics, Northern Europe, Russia and CIS.
