Air Niugini discloses order for two more Airbus A220s
Air Niugini, the national carrier of Papua New Guinea, has signed a firm order with Airbus for two more latest generation single-aisle A220-100s. This follows an initial order in 2023 for six aircraft. In addition, the carrier has lease agreements signed for three A220-300s from US-based lessor Azorra. The new order was disclosed as the first A220 for the airline entered final assembly at Airbus facilities in Mirabel in Canada.

Air Niugini signs with Boeing for four 737 MAX 8 planes
Air Niugini has signed an order for four 737 MAX 8 airplanes with Boeing. “Papua New Guinea is like no other place on earth and the 737 MAX will allow us to economically and efficiently connect our beautiful country with the rest of the world. “The superb economics of the 737 MAX will enable us to increase flight frequencies and develop into new markets which offer significant opportunities for Air Niugini,” said Frederick Reiher, chairman of Air Niugini.

Mercator selected to provide expertise in Papua New Guinea
Air Nuigini, the national airline of Papua New Guinea has selected Dubai-based Mercator to provide its loyalty and customer relationship management solution, CRIS (Customer Relationship Information System) to create and manage its frequent flyer programme.
Air Niugini grows domestic traffic
Air Niugini has sent-off Viva Macau B767-300 aircraftand thanked the Viva Macau management and crew for their assistance to AirNiugini to carry out international service from September 2007.
