London Gatwick welcomes back Air China
London Gatwick today celebrated the planned return of Air China’s flights to Beijing. Following a short break over the winter – China’s flagship carrier is serving Gatwick four times a week direct from the country’s capital during the summer, when passenger demand is strongest.
Air China to fly Shanghai-Munich non-stop

EU threatens to get tough on aviation emissions
Officials at the European Commission have ten Chinese and Indian airlines are facing the prospect of exclusion from airports in the European Union for refusing to comply with rules aimed at regulating greenhouse emissions. The airlines include Air China and Air India, with both carriers among those accused of not providing emissions data.

Air China will increase its Beijing-Moscow service CA909/10 by two flights a week to daily starting March 31. The outbound flight departs from Beijing at 13:45 local time, while the return flight departs from Moscow at 19:45 local time. The total flight time is 8 hours and 10 minutes. The flights will be operated with the newly revamped B777-200.
Air China places 31 plane order to boost fleet
Boeing has announced Air China has agreed to buy two Boeing 747-8 Intercontinentals, one 777-300ER (Extended Range) and 20 Next-Generation 737-800s. In addition, Air China Cargo, a subsidiary of Air China, has agreed to buy eight 777 Freighters.
