Air China launches new Beijing-Brisbane connection
Air China has held a launch ceremony for the inaugural flight on its new route between Beijing and Brisbane. At the launch ceremony, Air China vice president Xulun Hou remarked: “This new route between Beijing and Brisbane is Air China’s sixth non-stop route between China and Australia.”
Air China to launch Los Angeles-Shenzhen connection next month
Air China has announced a new three times weekly non-stop service between Los Angeles and Shenzhen. The flight will depart on December 7th and will be operated by the airline’s newest Dreamliner, the Boeing 787-9.
Air China to connect Beijing to Brisbane for first time
Air China will soon begin non-stop flights between Beijing and Brisbane from December 11th. The new route will provide a convenient connection between China’s bustling capital city and the sunny climate of the southern hemisphere, where passengers can experience adventure, and appreciate local art, culture and cuisine.
Air China to launch Melbourne-Shenzhen route in January
Air China has announced direct service between Melbourne and Shenzhen, to begin on January 10th next year. The service CA767/768 will operate four times per week with evening departures on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Lufthansa signs partnership deal with Air China
The Lufthansa Group and Air China signed a wide-reaching partnership agreement in Beijing today which will enable the two aviation groups to jointly operate all connections between Europe and China as part of a commercial joint venture. This means that the two companies will successfully implement what they agreed to do as part of a memorandum of understanding in summer 2014.
Air China launches Chengdu-Sydney services
Air China will launch Chengdu-Sydney services on November 11th, 2016. After the launch of Chengdu-Frankfurt and Chengdu-Paris flights, this route is Air China’s third intercontinental flight based in its Chengdu hub, and also its first nonstop service between western China and Oceania.
Air China welcomes first Boeing Dreamliner to fleet
Boeing and Air China have officially unveiled the airline’s first 787-9 Dreamliner to the public at a grand ceremony in Beijing. The national flag carrier is the first airline in the country to have a 787-9 enter into service. “The 787-9 Dreamliner employs a multitude of cutting-edge technologies best represented by its electronic handling system and wide application of composite materials,” said Captain Wang Yingnian, chief pilot of Air China.
Air China completes $2bn Boeing 777-300ER order
Boeing and Air China today announced an order for six additional 777-300ER (Extended Range) jetliners. The order is valued at more than $2 billion at current list prices and bolsters Air China’s long-haul widebody fleet as it looks to expand its international network.
Air China to commence Beijing-Mumbai service from October
Air China will commence a non-stop service from Beijing to Mumbai on October 25th, 2015. The Beijing-Mumbai flights, CA889/890, are operated four times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The outbound flight departs from Beijing at 19:40 and arrives in Mumbai at 01:00 local time the following day; the return flight departs from Mumbai at 02:30 local time and arrives in Beijing at 11:20 Beijing time.
Air China inks deal with Travelport
Air China has elected to use Travelport’s Airline Insight business intelligence and reporting solution.The user interface, data presentation and reporting that Airline Insights offers will allow Air China teams in Agency Sales, Revenue Management and Network Planning to maximize the value that can be extracted from such a comprehensive set of industry data.
United Airlines, Air China in code-share deal
United Airlines and Air China are expanding their code-sharing cooperation, covering an additional 22 routes in the China and U.S. markets. With this expansion, United and Air China will codeshare together on more than 110 routes, offering customers the most comprehensive route network between the U.S. and China.
Air China to commence Beijing-Hakodate service
Air China will inaugurate Beijing-Hakodate nonstop service on July 3, 2015. The flights, CA729/CA730 are operated twice a week on Monday and Friday with Boeing 737-800.
