Canadian airlines rebound in second quarter
Demand for transborder travel has prompted a marked improvement in the financial performance of both WestJet and Air Canada. While the national flag-carrier remained in the red for the second quarter, WestJet – which has remained profitable throughout the recession – recorded a net profit of C$21 million.
