Air Canada will manage its codeshare flights with SchedConnect from Lufthansa Systems. Both companies recently signed a five-year contract to this effect. The leading solution enables Air Canada to optimise its codeshare management and to lower costs and increase revenue. Lufthansa Systems will host the new system in its own data center.

Air Canada has launched an investigation after a passenger on a domestic flight found a needle in an onboard sandwich. Police in Canada are also involved in the incident, which occurred on a July 30th flight from Victoria, British Columbia to Toronto.

Air Canada extends St John’s flight offering
Air Canada has announced it is to extend seasonal non-stop service between London Heathrow and St. John’s, Newfoundland this summer, operating flights daily from until October 27th 2012, four weeks longer than originally scheduled.
