Following the conclusion of its fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held today in Sharjah, the Board of Director of Air Arabia announced that the assembly has approved the distribution of a cash dividend of eight per cent of the company’s share capital.

Air Arabia (PJSC), the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today its financial results for the 12 months ending December 31, 2010, demonstrating sustained profitability, lasting customer appeal and the strength of its underlying expansion strategy.

Air Arabia ‘Egypt’, Egypt’s first international low-cost carrier, announced on May 22nd that it has received its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, clearing the way for the imminent launch of Air Arabia ‘Egypt’, the carrier’s Alexandria-based joint venture company.

Air Arabia, is to launch flights to the Indian city of Goa beginning April 16, 2009. Roundtrip flights will operate three times per week between Dabolim International Airport in Goa and Air Arabia’s hub in Sharjah.

Systems Associates (ISA), a joint venture of Air Arabia and John Keells Holdings, are developing a new reservation system ‘AccelAero’ for low cost airlines that provides multi-selling channels through the Internet, travel agencies and call centres.
