History was made last night as Miral and The Walt Disney Company celebrated the official announcement of the Middle East and Africa's first-ever Disney theme park resort destination with a record breaking 9,000 drone show and fireworks spectacle. The show, which took place at Yas Links, also featured a live performance of world-renowned pianist Lang Lang alongside iconic Emirati singer Rashed Alnuaimi, queen of the West End, Kerry Ellis and classical sensation, Sonya Balsara.

The inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma will now take place between 16 and 19 April 2026. The date is announced following the launch event's postponement last month, out of respect for the passing of Pope Francis and the related events taking place in Rome. Planning is already well underway for the Anantara Concorso Roma 2026, with dates confirmed and venues being finalised. The event will take place in Rome in the springtime and will celebrate la dolce vita and all things Italian, including hospitality, cuisine and style.

2025 marks the next chapter in The Royal Yacht Britannia Trust's legacy with the opening of a brand-new, world-class visitor centre with exhibition and retail experience this week. Situated on the second floor of Ocean Terminal in Edinburgh's Port of Leith, the newly developed visitor experience has been designed to enhance the sense of arrival for around 350,000 annual visitors to Queen Elizabeth II's former Royal Yacht.

Up to June 28, 2025, Gotham Lounge will present an ambiance befitting the vibrant spirit of Van Gogh's work. Drawing from his expressive brushstrokes and the natural beauty of his favorite blooms, the space will be beautifully adorned with floral arrangements while the culinary and pastry teams will present an elegant Afternoon Tea service of edible floral themed sweet and savory creations. Sweet confections will include scones served with a whimsical chocolate paintbrush, along with edible flower creations such as a chocolate and honey Sunflower, vanilla and custard Cherry Blossom, and a blueberry and almond sponge Lavender. Savory selections will feature “Potted Plants” with truffle dip, porcini soil, and lemon, along with a decadent Sunflower Seed Foie Gras on brioche and a Maine Lobster Roll. The menu is paired with a curated selection of fine floral teas and a glass of Peninsula Private Label Champagne.

TAP Air Portugal has launched the second edition of Altitude Film Fest, its on board film festival, to celebrate international cinema at 30,000 feet. This unique festival offers emerging filmmakers from around the world the chance to create movie magic for airline passengers by submitting their fiction or documentary films. A committee appointed by TAP will review the submissions, before handing over to a judging panel of independent film industry professionals to choose 10 finalists. The finalists will be notified by 28 July 2025.
