Wyndham Hotel Group enters New Zealand with two Ramada Hotels

The properties include the beachfront Ramada Suites Paihia, formerly Edgewater Palms Apartments, and the Ramada Suites Nautilus Orewa just north of Auckland, formerly Nautilus Orewa Beach. Both properties are owned by Marsden Asset Management Ltd.
“New Zealand continues to be an important and viable market that offers great opportunity for Wyndham Hotel Group and its brands,” said Barry Robinson, managing director for Wyndham Hotel Group in the South Pacific. “I’m delighted to add these two outstanding properties into our growing portfolio. They are a testament to our commitment to growth in the South Pacific and our confidence in New Zealand as a leading tourism destination.”
Ramada Suites Paihia is a 34-suite complex with views overlooking the golden sand beaches of Paihia in the Bay of Islands on the North Island of New Zealand. Built in January 2006, the complex features landscaped tropical gardens along with a pool and spa to complement its waterfront location. Modern and spacious one and two-bedroom suites place guests close to all the attractions the Bay of Islands have to offer.
Located only 30 minutes by car from Auckland city, the Ramada Suites Nautilus Orewa is a 12-level development with 152 rooms offering a mix of deluxe studio, one and two-bedroom suites with breathtaking ocean views over Orewa Beach and the surrounding area. The facilities are ideal for conferences and feature a range of meeting spaces.
“It is with great excitement that we’re aligning these properties with Wyndham Hotel Group and the Ramada name,” said Michael Osborne, principal of Marsden Asset Management Ltd. “We look forward to a successful relationship and the continued growth of the Ramada brand in New Zealand.”
In addition to these newest properties, Wyndham Hotel Group currently has a portfolio of nine hotels throughout the South Pacific, with hotels in Australia, Guam, New Caledonia and Vanuatu.
