Worldhotels has continued its ambitious expansion plans by signing an agreement with Spain’s Husa Hotels for 12 additional properties to become Worldhotels affiliates.
Founded in 1930 and based in Barcelona, family-run Husa Hotels has grown into one of Spain’s largest chains, with more than 120 properties throughout the country.
Six Husa properties are already Worldhotels affiliates, and the 12 new affiliate hotels bring a total of 1,914 extra rooms to the Worldhotels portfolio.
“As a founding member of Worldhotels and a partnership spanning in our family over three generations, it is assuring to see how Worldhotels continues to develop and adapt to industry trends and requirements”, says Joan Gaspart Solves, president of Husa Hoteles.
“In doing so it delivers what we need most also for our expansion inside and outside of Spain where we do rely on such an established international partner”.
Of the 12 new properties, eight are located in Spain, two in Morocco, one in Andorra and one in Germany opening in 2012.
“We are delighted to further develop our partnership with Husa Hotels and continue to grow the Worldhotels portfolio in numerous destinations not covered by Worldhotels yet,” commented Ingo Gürges, vice president global hotel development of Worldhotels.
“Our 12 new Husa affiliate hotels give us a stronger presence in key locations and particularly strengthen our offering in Spain and North Africa.”
