Wild Card sign VisitCornwall deal

Wild Card has been appointed the lead domestic PR agency for VisitCornwall, the hub for the promotion of Cornwall as a visitor destination.  Wild Card, a consumer brand specialist with offices in both London and the West Country won the business through an in-depth tender process, culminating in a four-way pitch.

This is the first time VisitCornwall has worked with a consumer agency for some years and the team at Wild Card has been briefed to generate creative
and proactive PR to drive through key visitor themes for the region.  The campaign will focus on four core areas including Year Round promotion, Gardens, Dog Friendly and Walking with a specific project to support The South West Coast Path.

Penny Woodman, Marketing Manager for VisitCornwall, the Cornwall Development tourism service, comments: “We were impressed with Wild Card’s understanding of our business, industry expertise and creative approach. We are looking forward to working with the Wild Card team to build on Cornwall’s enviable position as the UK¹s number one visitor destination, generating across the year exposure for Cornwall’s quality tourism offering.”

Managing Director, Kate Wild adds:  “This is a great win for Wild Card.  We are well familiar with the tourist industry and have a strong knowledge of
the South West through our work for brands such as The Hotel & Extreme Academy, Watergate Bay and The Nare.  The campaign will be run across both
our Truro and London offices, offering a strong combination of local knowledge and national reach.”

Wild Card offers bespoke PR services to some of the West Country’s biggest names including the soon to open Llawnroc Hotel in Gorran Haven, Fifteen
Cornwall, The Nare Hotel, The Hotel & Extreme Academy Watergate Bay, Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream, Kelly’s of Cornwall, Healey’s Cyder Farm and Cornwall Food & Drink.
