WestJet commits to enhanced retailing strategy with Amadeus
WestJet is renewing and expanding its distribution agreement with Amadeus.
The agreement continues to ensure that all fare options and merchandising capabilities are easily accessible for travel advisors worldwide.
In addition, WestJet is committed to making its future NDC-based offering available to travel advisors on the Amadeus Travel Platform, where it will join the 27 other airlines already selling NDC-sourced content through the Amadeus Travel API.
“We are excited to be WestJet’s distribution partner. We look forward to our continued partnership to support its retailing strategy and growth plans including enabling NDC content globally and at scale for the benefit of airlines, travel advisors and corporate customers,” said Rajiv Rajian, chief commercial officer, Americas, Travel, Amadeus.
NDC content from WestJet will be fully integrated into travel advisors’ booking environments.

For travel advisors, this means that whether using Amadeus Selling Platform Connect or an application powered by an Amadeus Travel API, including the Amadeus Cytric self-booking tool for its corporate clients, all of WestJet’s NDC fare options and merchandising will be easy to shop, compare, book and manage.
This renewed and expanded agreement is a testament to WestJet’s commitment to providing its full spectrum of fares and unique merchandising offers to Amadeus subscribers, enabling them to fully leverage these offerings and present travellers with the best options tailored to meet their individual preferences.
“This expanded partnership with Amadeus is a key element of our broader distribution strategy to prioritise our guests in every aspect of their experience, regardless of how they book. Whether they seek maximum flexibility, the lowest price, a premium experience, or something in between, we aim to empower travel advisors to offer travellers precisely what they want with WestJet,” said John Weatherill, chief commercial officer, WestJet.
