Virgin Voyages has launched 39 Mediterranean sailings for summer 2028, with Valiant Lady set to operate from Barcelona and Scarlet Lady sailing from Athens.

On sale now, the itineraries will run from May to October, with voyages ranging from six to 14 nights. It builds on Virgin Voyages’ existing Mediterranean deployment, bringing back favourites across the Greek Isles, Adriatic and Western Mediterranean, including overnight stays in Mykonos, Ibiza, Istanbul and Alexandria (for Cairo).

The season also introduces calls at Portofino (Santa Margherita), Venice (Trieste) and Ravenna in Italy, and Koper in Slovenia.

Mediterranean: Barcelona to Athens: a 10-night voyage on Scarlet Lady sailing from Barcelona, Spain and calling at Cannes, France; Tuscany/Cinque Terre (La Spezia), Italy; Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy; Amalfi Coast (Salerno), Italy; Catania, Sicily, Italy; Valletta, Malta; Mykonos, Greece; and Athens (Piraeus), Greece. French Riviera, Italy & Ibiza Overnight: a seven-night sailing on Valiant Lady roundtrip from Barcelona, Spain and calling at Cannes, France; Portofino (Santa Margherita), Italy; Ajaccio, Corsica, France; and Ibiza, Spain (overnight). Departures May 14, July 2 and September 24, from £855pp.
Greek Isles, Turkey & Mykonos Overnight: a seven-night sailing on Scarlet Lady roundtrip from Athens, Greece and calling at Santorini, Greece; Chania (Souda Bay), Crete, Greece; Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey; and Mykonos, Greece (overnight). All departures include Virgin Voyages’ signature inclusions - more than 20 eateries, WiFi, essential drinks, group fitness classes and onboard entertainment.

The itineraries go live in Virgin Voyages’ ‘First Mate Appreciation Month’, meaning every booking logged through firstmateloot.co.uk – the online agent incentive platform – before July 31 will earn First Mates £15, three times the usual £5 per booking.

First Mates also have the chance to win one of five places on ‘Bring on Mexico’, a special fam trip giveaway. Winners will join Scarlet Lady’s Mexico & Bimini Beach Club sailing, departing November 28, 2026. The more bookings First Mates log, the more chances they have to secure a place.
