Buying and topping up go cards is now easier for customers with two new retailers being added to the Gold Coast go card network. Member for Surfers Paradise John-Paul Langbroek and Member for Southport Rob Molhoek welcomed the Gold Coast Tourism Information Centre in the heart of Surfers Paradise and Australia Fair News Southport’s Australia Fair Shopping Centre to the go card network.
“These two new retailers provide convenient locations for Gold Coast customers to get on board with go card, and for existing card holders to access go card services,” Mr Langbroek said.
“Customers can buy, top up, change an expiry date, obtain a refund, register their go card and obtain a copy of their last 10 transactions at both locations.
“go card makes travel across the Gold Coast and South East Queensland easier and cheaper with go card fares being 30 per cent cheaper than paper tickets.
“There are further discounts for off-peak travel and for frequent users, such as nine and free.
“The go card retail network is continuing to expand, with go card facilities now available in more than 580 locations throughout South East Queensland.”
Member for Southport Rob Molhoek said customers can top-up their go cards at various locations.
“As well as selected retailers, Gold Coast customers can access go card services from ticket offices and fare machines at train stations, major bus interchanges and Gold Coast Airport,” Mr Molhoek said.
“With more than three million go cards issued across the TransLink network, go cards are now used for more than 80 per cent of all weekday trips.
“There are also additional features available for customers who registered their go cards online.
“Registered go card users can check their card balances and transaction history, as well as top up their card, online or over the phone.
“Users can also transfer their balance from lost, stolen or faulty cards and register for automatic top-up.”
