Tenerife’s Top Music Festivals Not to Miss This Summer!
Tenerife, the largest and most diverse of Spain’s Canary Islands, has lined up an exciting calendar of diverse music concerts that visitors should not miss this summer. From Ed Sheeran to reggaeton and bachata, visitors to the island these warm months will have the opportunity to dance the night away with the best music and with the island’s magical sunsets as backdrop.
The location of Tenerife in the north Atlantic – just under a four-and-a-half-hour flight from the UK – has historically made it a crossroads of cultures, a trait that is reflected in this year’s dynamic music scene.

Ed Sheeran – Santa Cruz (29 June)
As part of his 2024 Mathematics Tour, global music sensation, Ed Sheeran, will be performing a show in Santa Cruz at the end of this month. Inspired by the unique names of his albums (+, -, x, ÷, =), the Mathematics Tour will be taking over the Heliodoro Stadium in Tenerife’s capital of Santa Cruz on 29 June. The British singer, known for his soulful voice and compelling lyrics, will perform hits from his extensive repertoire, including hits like ‘Perfect’ and ‘Thinking Out Loud’ as well as tracks from his latest album, ‘Autumn Variations’. Ed Sheeran also has a song called ‘Tenerife Sea’ dedicated to the island, as he’s a big Tenerife fan.

Siam Night – (2 July - 1 August)
This summer, Siam Park will transform from a water wonderland by day into a tropical party paradise by night. Located in Costa Adeje, the iconic water park is known for its Thai-inspired architecture, twisting water slides and relaxing lazy river. During Siam Night, guests will get the chance to experience the park after dark, complete with an in-house DJ, spectacular light shows and daring pyrotechnic displays.

Myke Towers – Santa Cruz (6 July)
Calling all reggaeton lovers: Myke Towers will be bringing the tropical sounds of the Caribbean to Tenerife on 6 July. The rapper/singer, hailing from the small island of Puerto Rico, is known for his dynamic flow and chart-topping hits such as ‘LALA’ and ‘La Falda’. His unique style features a fusion of Latin and urban genres which have seen him rise to prominence in the Latin music scene. The Tenerife concert at the Recinto Ferial de Santa Cruz is part of Myke Towers’ highly anticipated Europe tour, which has been met with rave reviews and sold-out venues.

Cook Music Fest – Santa Cruz (19-20 July)
Mixing food and music is a recipe for fiesta as shown by the Cook Music Fest, taking place in Santa Cruz at the end of July. With the lineup featuring the likes of Colombian pop star, Maluma, and six-time Grammy award winner, Gilberto Santa Rosa, the family-friendly festival is the perfect summer weekend to enjoy tropical melodies by the sea. The gastronomic offer of the event is also not to be missed, with a wide range of cuisines made from locally sourced ingredients available to try throughout the weekend.

Sunblast – Golf Costa Adeje (10 August)
Premier electronic music festival, Sunblast, is returning Tenerife on 10 August. Held at Golf Costa Adeje, in the popular upmarket resort of Costa Adeje, the festival promises a day of high-energy performances from world-renowned DJs and artists like SASASAS and Fatima Hajji. Sunblast has earned a reputation for its electrifying atmosphere and top-tier lineups that promise keep festival-goers dancing from sunset to sunrise. PHE Festival – Puerto de la Cruz (23 and 24 August)
The highly anticipated PHE Festival is set to return to the northern town of Puerto de la Cruz 23-24 August, bringing an extraordinary line-up of music and art to the island. Known for its eclectic mix of indie, rock, electronic and urban music, the festival attracts thousands from across the globe. Some of the artists confirmed for this summer’s edition include Sen Senra, Lori Meyers and Skinny Pimp. However, the fun doesn’t stop there, as PHE Festival is also a hub for culture, wellness and leisure. Puerto de la Cruz’s fishing dock will be transformed into a BMX arena and there’ll also be a massive outdoor meeting in the town’s Plaza Europa where yoga lovers will be able to join in on several curated sessions.

Aventura – Puerto de la Cruz (13 September)
Aventura is a bachata music group from The Bronx (New York) formed in 1994 that made their big break fusing bachata with modern popular sounds like hip hop and R&B. After 13 years of separation, the legendary group will reunite this year, bringing their ‘Cerrando Ciclos’ tour to Puerto de la Cruz this September. Popularly known as the ‘Kings of Bachata’, visitors should not miss the chance to practice their moves in the pit or to simply revel in 20 years of Aventura this summer.

Boreal Festival – Los Silos (18 – 22 September)
Boreal Festival is a unique multidisciplinary gathering that celebrates music, culture and environmental consciousness. Taking place every September in the historic town of Los Silos – on the northwest coast of Tenerife – the festival is a hub for environmental justice, with a programme full of exhibitions, talks, activities, as well as a plethora of stalls selling sustainable, artisanal products. Boreal Festival, committed to sustainability and gender equality, will be against the backdrop of live music provided by indie and up-and-coming artists such as Rodrigo Cuevas, Marala and Iseo and Dodosound.
