Sun International appoints new Business Marketing Manager

Grant McDonald has joined Southern Africa’s leading hotel and resort brand, Sun International, as Business Marketing Manager, UK and Ireland.

Grant will be dedicated to managing the needs of the business customers, as well as building MICE business from the UK.  In his new role he will be responsible for Sun International’s relationships with multinational corporations, including global management of RFPs and existing accounts, and continuing to raise the profile of the brand to new clients through roadshows, and attendance at exhibitions and events.

Prior to joining the Sun International team, Grant was Sales & Marketing Manager for Brockett Hall where his responsibilities included managing third party agents and DMCs, developing corporate accounts, as well as representing the property at key events and exhibitions.

Before that he was Group Regional Sales Manager for Morgans Hotels Group, working predominantly within the MICE sector, but also managing the Swiss and German business for the group for all market segments.  Grant has also previously worked in Africa too, as he was Assistant General Manager at Djuma Lodge, a five star private safari lodge in South Africa. 

Grant will report to Fiona Malan, Marketing Manager UK & Ireland.  Sun International has also strengthened the marketing team with the appointment of Amie Howard, Marketing Executive.
