“As one of the most popular event destinations in the world, Spain is ready to engage meeting planners more proactively,” said Jorge Rubio Navarro, Director of TOS in Chicago. “As more and more planners collaborate online through social media, we want to be as responsive and helpful as possible to those thinking about holding their meetings or incentives in Spain. We want to reach the right people, and i-Meet’s global community of 70,0000 MICE professionals is the perfect place for this initiative.”
The partnership will feature a unique community for those interested in Spain, a place where meeting planners can find reliable and fresh information on the destination, its event venues and alternatives, and its supplier base. Planners can also access ratings, recommendations and a rich database of suppliers to help get to the right information quickly. Special offers and incentives will be a vital part of the collaboration.
“We want to show planners that Spain continues to be an attractive meeting and event destination, with worldwide appeal and a proven service structure for producing successful events,” said Rubio. “We have to think differently about how we get our message out to meeting planners. Spain has so many exciting possibilities for groups, and we’re very happy to be working with i-Meet to reach the right planners.”
Additionally, i-Meet will work with the TOS - Chicago on an outreach campaign to generate increasing awareness on the advantages of Spain as a future site for meetings, incentives and events.
“We’re thrilled and honored to be selected by the Tourist Office of Spain to support their social media marketing initiatives,” said John Pino, i-Meet Founder and CEO. “As global communities continue to evolve, the business aspect of connecting professionals provides so many advantages and opportunities. This is innovative, and we’re excited to be a part of it.”
