Sol Meliá to open new hotels In Lisbon And Frankfurt

• Tryp Lisbon Airport Hotel and Innside Frankfurt Hotel will open in 2013, adding 330 rooms to Sol Meliá’s hotel portfolio

• Sol Meliá continues to grow its urban brands in important European cities

Sol Meliá, a leading hotel company, with numerous luxury hotels in Spain, has agreed to add a new hotel in Lisbon to its portfolio under a franchise agreement with the Tryp brand.

A second hotel in Frankfurt is also to be added to the Innside brand portfolio under a lease agreement. Both hotels will be newly built and will open in 2013 with a total of 330 rooms.

The luxury Tryp Lisbon Hotel will be located next to the arrivals terminal at Lisbon airport, and will begin construction this year.
The hotel will consist of 168 rooms, 6 accommodating meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 700, a fitness center, a restaurant and a cafeteria, whilst still retaining the sophistication and design of the Tryp city hotel brand.

The four star Innside Frankfurt Hotel will built in close proximity to the headquarters of the Central European Bank, and will incorporate 162 rooms, a meeting space of 350sq metres, a restaurant and cafeteria, gym, spa and peaceful gardens.

This new hotel adds to Sol Meliá’s 21 hotels in Germany, the country with the second largest number of Sol Meliá hotels in the company portfolio. Innside, rated the highest rated hotel brand by German travellers on a survey on the hotel brands’ website, was added by Sol Meliá in 2007, making it the company’s youngest brand. There are currently nine Innside hotels in the central and important German cities; the latest being the Innside Dresden Hotel, opened in January.
