Signet Weekend at Glenmorangie House

Glenmorangie House, the award-winning boutique hotel in the Scottish Highlands, invites guests to experience an exclusive weekend event honouring the darkly decadent single malt Scotch Glenmorangie Signet – the world’s first single malt whisky made with high roasted chocolate malt – and the newly introduced expression, Glenmorangie Signet Reserve.
Taking place from Friday 14th – Sunday 16th February 2025, the House will host a celebratory weekend curated in collaboration with award-winning drinks writers Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley, who will also be hosting the experience. The two drinks connoisseurs recently named Glenmorangie Signet as ‘Best in Glass’ for Single Malt Scotch Whisky in their latest release In Fine Spirits – deeming the whisky to be the ‘pinnacle of its craft’.
Inspired by the rich, dark flavours of freshly brewed coffee, Glenmorangie’s creators embraced a darker, bolder profile with the 2008 release of Glenmorangie Signet. This pioneering whisky owes its unique character to Glenmorangie’s exclusive chocolate malt spirit—a first in the whisky world. For one dedicated week each year, Glenmorangie Distillery halts all production to craft Signet, and now, they invite whisky lovers old and new to experience this first-hand.
Aged in a mix of bourbon, sherry, and new oak casks, balanced by some of Glenmorangie’s oldest stocks, Signet has been widely hailed by the experts and was named World Whisky of the Year by the International Whisky Competition in 2016. Glenmorangie’s Director of Whisky Creation, Dr. Bill Lumsden, expanded on this vision with Signet Reserve—a limited edition matured for an additional 12 months in Pedro Ximenes sherry casks, adding luxurious notes of chocolate truffles, toffee, fudge, and tiramisu.

Glenmorangie House
Nestled along on the Easter Ross Peninsula, a stone’s throw from the beautiful and wild Moray Firth, Glenmorangie House invites guests to step into the wondrous world of Glenmorangie single malt whisky. In collaboration with interior story makers Russell Sage Studio, this boutique hotel was in 2021 reimagined as a sensory playground, bringing to life the single malt whisky’s story, through everything guests touch, see, scent, hear and feel. Showcasing Glenmorangie’s whisky creation and delicious single malts, and filled with work by local artisans, this 17th-century House welcomes visitors from across the world to enjoy an extraordinary travel experience. In October this year, Glenmorangie House was awarded a prestigious MICHELIN Key, recognising the boutique hotel as an outstanding stay – noting it as “a very special stay” with each room described as “thoroughly luxurious”.
The Signet Weekend experience is now available to book for a two-night stay from 14-16 February 2025, priced at £1,000 per room for two people in a Standard Room or Cottage, inclusive of all elements outlined above.
