Showcasing Quito’s tourism offer in the UK
A delegation from the Capital of the Centre of the World will attend LATA Expo 2024 to interact and network with representatives from the UK and European tourism industries.
As part of the Lata Expo event from 24 to 26 June, Quito Turismo and other leading operators of Latin America’s tourism industry will have the opportunity to interact and network with buying delegates from the UK and the rest of Europe.
Held on the outskirts of the historic English borough of Windsor, Berkshire (United Kingdom), the event is being organised by the largest community of Latin American travel operators based in London, the Latin America Travel Association (LATA).
The idea is to give leading operators of Latin America’s tourism industry the chance to interact with UK and European buying delegates, members of the media, tourist offices, tour operators, hotels, wholesalers, airlines and other representatives of the sector, with a view to promoting mutual business opportunities and enhancing existing offers with new Latin American experiences, destinations and products.
As a major source market for tourists in Ecuador (top 10), the UK is integral to Quito’s tourism marketing strategy. While the largest numbers of tourists in Ecuador continue to come from countries located on the American continent, such as US and Canada, there is a huge untapped market in Europe that Quito would like to target.

The 3-day working event in Old Windsor will be attended by operators selected exclusively by LATA, all of whom will set out to strengthen their commercial links with Latin America during a series of business meetings.
The event will also include a number of forums at which exhibitors will have to chance to interact and network with leading industry operators. The 2024 edition of LATA, an initiative launched to promote tourism across Latin America, will feature an original trade show-style format, and will be attended by 100 businesses.
Taking part at LATA Expo for the eighth year in a row, Quito Turismo will present the offer of the “most beautiful city in the world” to representatives of the UK’s tourism industry and media, based on a number of aspects including culture, gastronomy, city attractions, adventure tourism, etc.
