Sarai, Mirai’s AI assistant and conversational booking engine, now supports multi-room bookings

Mirai, a company specializing in technology to boost hotels’ direct sales, announces that Sarai, its AI assistant and conversational booking engine, now handles bookings for two or more rooms within a natural conversation (“I need two rooms for a family with children”), with no forms or intermediate steps. This feature is available across all channels where Sarai operates -webchat, WhatsApp, email, Instagram and phone, as well as ChatGPT (via Apps) and Claude (via MCP)- and is included at no extra cost for all Mirai booking engine clients.

Multi-room bookings are one of the highest-value demands for hotels. According to Mirai’s cumulative data up to July 2026, reservations for two or more rooms account for 9.07% of the total on the web booking engine, but generate 18.45% of room nights and 18.44% of revenue: nearly double their share by volume. This demand also exists in the conversational channel, where around 7.03% of the availability inquiries handled by Sarai over the last 30 days included multiple rooms.
The new feature also covers group bookings. When a request exceeds the limit on the number of rooms the booking engine allows to be booked online, Sarai explains this to the customer, collects their information and stay details, and generates a qualified lead, which is visible in real time in Lobby -Mirai’s AI infrastructure dashboard- and notified to the hotel via email. A request that would be lost in a traditional booking engine thus becomes a sales opportunity at the exact moment the customer shows purchase intent.

“Addressing multi-room reservations was essential for conversational booking. Today, customers express their needs in great detail and complexity using natural language, and they expect the hotel to know how to accommodate them. Our data shows that the hotels that handle these complex cases well will capture the highest-value demand,” says Pablo Delgado, CEO America at Mirai.

With this development, Sarai strengthens its position as the first conversational hotel booking engine, capable of completing direct bookings even in the most complex and highest-value scenarios for the hotel.
