Sandals raises the luxury factor with new Bahamas resort

The luxury stakes in the Bahamas have been raised several notches following the official grand opening of the Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma.

Set on one of the Bahamas’ most beautiful Out Islands, it becomes the 14th Sandals resort in the Caribbean, and the first to offer a Greg Norman-designed golf course, world-class marina and professionally-trained butlers in all 183 beachfront rooms and suites.

“This is an exciting moment in the history of Sandals Resorts,” said Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart, chairman and founder of Sandals Resorts. “For years we have been committed to providing the very best Luxury Included experience in the Caribbean, and the grand opening of our latest resort only further proves our dedication to exceeding our guests’ expectations.”

He added: “Sandals Emerald Bay sits on one of the most spectacular beaches in the region, and we are thrilled to be able to share this piece of paradise.  We look forward to welcoming new and returning Sandals Resorts guests for years to come.”

The former Four Seasons resort was bought by Sandals in summer 2009 and following an extensive renovation, the Sandals Emerald Bay represents an expansion of the company’s Luxury Included concept. It is also the first Sandals Resort to offer a Greg Norman-designed golf course, world-class marina and professionally-trained butlers in all 183 beachfront rooms and suites.

In addition to the grand opening, guests travelling to the highly acclaimed, all-new Sandals Emerald Bay have extra reason to celebrate as they can currently save up to 35% on travel dates throughout 2010!

Sandals Resorts has set the industry standard for the Luxury Included holiday and has been voted the “Caribbean’s Leading Hotel Brand” at the World Travel Awards for 15 years in a row, and “World’s Leading All-Inclusive Company” for 13 years in a row.
