Ryanair launches Newcastle winter schedule

Ryanair has launched its Newcastle winter 2017 schedule, with two new winter routes to Faro and Madrid and ten routes in total.

The airline hopes the routes will deliver 750,000 customers per annum and support 560 jobs at Newcastle Airport.

Ryanair will continue to connect Newcastle with major business and leisure centres on high frequency, low fare services including Dublin (two daily), Madrid (two weekly) and Malaga (four weekly).

Ryanair spokesman Robin Kiely said: “We are pleased to launch our 2017 Newcastle winter 2017 schedule.

“We are also pleased to report record bookings on our Newcastle summer 2017 schedule and UK customers.

“We urge all customers who wish to book their holidays to do so now.”

Ryanair’s Newcastle summer 2017 schedule is attracting record bookings, with more frequencies to sun destinations for summer family holidays, including its new routes to Barcelona Girona (two weekly) and Palma de Mallorca (daily).

John Irving, business development director at Newcastle International Airport, said: “It’s great to see Ryanair continue to expand their operation out of Newcastle.

“We are delighted that both Madrid and Faro will now carry on through our winter 2017 schedule, meaning even more destinations are now available year-round for the north-east travelling public.”
