Routes 2012: Abu Dhabi to host World Passenger Symposium 2012
With all the focus in recent days on the 18th World Route Development Forum in Abu Dhabi, it is important to remember the emirate will also host the IATA World Passenger Symposium 2012 next month.
The symposium will build on the success of the first event in 2011, which attracted over 500 delegates, including a number of chief executives, and was billed as a success by 86 per cent of the attendees.
The IATA World Passenger Symposium is a unique event.
It is the only event that brings the entire passenger value chain together – from airlines to government representatives – to look at common solutions to industry challenges.
Those challenges are numerous.
They include seizing the opportunity that ancillary revenues represent; understanding new distribution models; and defining a new airport experience that empowers the passenger through self-managed travel.
These challenges affect every part of the value chain.
This year the event will take place at Jumeirah Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi, from October 16th-18th.
