Rome Cavalieri Adds Va Va Vroom With A Fleet Of FIAT 500s

“Small but wicked” was a saying coined for the original Fiat 500 Arbarth in the 1960s. Nippy and chic, the Fiat 500 was considered one of the first “city cars”, measuring only 3 metres long it was perfect for driving around town. Now the glamorous Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria hotel has made a selection of Fiat 500s available to guests for daily hire for those wanting a retro way to explore the city and beyond in true Italian style.

The Rome Cavalieri now has a fleet of Fiat 500 models. Each model can be hired for a full or half day and maps and suggested routes are provided by the hotel’s concierge. Guests can also request a delicious picnic to be prepared and packed for the road.

To celebrate the glamour of the 60s when the original Fiat 500 Arbarth was launched, Rome Cavalieri have teamed up with Italian fashion house Gattinoni to offer all ladies taking a spin in one of the cars a complimentary silk headscarf and luxury travel accessories. Gattinoni dressed the international jet set and style icons of the 1960s including Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Eva Peron and Jackie Kennedy and continues to dress Rome’s high society with its haute couture creations today.

Guests should ideally make their booking 5 to 7 days in advance to secure availability of their chosen car.

Rental price for a FIAT 500 ABARTH is €800 for a full day and €500 for a half day. For a more economical alternative the standard FIAT 500 is available for €300 for a full day.
