Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara received the “Middle East’s Leading Desert Resort Award 2011” at the World Travel Award 2011 Middle East Ceremony, which took place on Monday 2 May at the Armani Hotel Dubai.

The project was born from the vision of the leadership of the UAE, to celebrate the traditions and roots of the country, and is built in the Liwa Desert, one of its most breathtaking landscapes.  The architecture is inspired by authentic forts from the Liwa Desert, and is located in the Empty Quarter, overlooking a natural long valley that runs for several kilometres from East to West.
