Portman Travel appoints Strategic National Account Manager

Portman Travel, one of the UK’s leading travel management companies (TMCs), has appointed Calum McDougall as their new Strategic National Account Manager.

McDougall will be based in Scotland, a historically important region for Portman Travel as the company originated there more than fifty years ago as Motherwell Bridge. The TMC, which provides business travel management solutions to corporations across all major business sectors, continues to expand its business throughout the UK and in his new role, McDougall is responsible for key client management across the Scottish region. He reports directly into Johan Persson, Vice President Account Management.

With an already impressive background in the travel industry, McDougall joins Portman Travel from Reed and Mackay where he worked as a Strategic Account Development Manager and was responsible for relationship management and client retention of key accounts across the City of London.

Commenting on his appointment, McDougall said: “Strategic travel management is now more important than ever as companies look to maximise travel budgets wherever possible. I am delighted to be joining Portman Travel at such an exciting time of strong growth, business wins and product innovation.”

Persson said: “Scotland is an important region for Portman Travel and Calum’s appointment reinforces the company’s growth strategy in this market. We look forward to using Calum’s expertise to strengthen our relationships with our Scottish clients and expand the specialist travel management services that we offer in the region even further.”
