North America to gain momentum with Australian ravellers
FLIGHT Centre Limited predicts a surge in Australian travellers heading to North America.
The company believes the United States of America and Canada will continue to gain popularity as a number of factors combine to deliver easier access and affordability.
Flight Centre Limited general marketing manager Colin Bowman said the factors included:
· Strength of Australian dollar
· Increased competition from airlines to deliver low prices
· Increased capacity on a number of airlines
· Increased tour and cruise options
“Never before has North America been so affordable and accessible for Australian travellers with our strong dollar and increased travel options,” said Mr. Bowman.
“This has prompted the company to expand its Canada and Alaska Travel Show to include the USA, Hawaii and Mexico, with holiday deals for all major capital cities and some regions.
“We are encouraging travellers to take advantage of the current situation and book their holiday at our travel show to pocket further savings.”
