New Mind wins Simply Scilly Tourist Board website project

Award winning tourism technology provider, New Mind has been tasked to redevelop the official tourist board website for one of Britain’s most iconic holiday destinations, the Isles of Scilly.
Forming an archipelago 28 miles south of Lands End in Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly are made up of 5 inhabited islands (Bryher, St Agnes, St Martins, St Mary’s and Tresco), each one totally unique, as well as a group of uninhabited islands with mysterious names such as Kettle Bottom, Hunter’s Lump and Great Cheese Rock.
The website, http://www.simplyscilly.co.uk, originally created by New Mind in 2008, will be redeveloped to fit with the existing brand guidelines, reinforcing its image as an outstandingly beautiful destination. The new site will set out to remove the islands’ ‘far away’ image by emphasising its ease of access from the mainland by air or sea . The Isles of Scilly’s unique environment with its relaxed way of life, pristine white beaches, abundance of wildlife and fascinating local history will all be emphasised throughout the site using motivational content and high impact imagery, inspiring visitors to choose it for the ultimate get-away.
Julian Pearce, Economic Development Officer for the Isles of Scilly comments “New Mind will develop a new site which will form the centrepiece of our digital brand identity, providing an inspirational, easy to navigate experience featuring high impact photography reflecting the outstanding beauty of the islands. Potential visitors will be able to find out everything they need to know about the destination, leaving them with no doubt why they should come here for a holiday. Over the years, the New Mind team has developed an understanding of the islands and the way we work with the result that they have been able to tailor the project to meet our specific needs and tight time schedule”.
The site is expected to be launched in late Spring.
