The May Fair Hotel has launched a brand new Ebony Suite, bringing a new dimension to a property synonymous with luxury, indulgence and flair.

Created for the style-savvy, the location is the ultimate space in which to entertain the A-list way, from the spacious private terrace, to the very latest TOTO bathroom technology – straight out of Japan.

TOTO brings a slice of the future to The May Fair, with its illuminated bath, colour-changing, heat-sensitive basin controls and luxury, fully automated Washlet toilet, complete with remote control.

Designed for entertaining, the elaborate Ebony Suite offers guests the latest in contemporary comfort.

Its stylish dark wood, ivory and chic metallic interior features a 67 square metre lounge area, complete with four-seater dining table, 52” flat screen, kitchenette and separate guest bathroom.

Spanning an impressive 110 square metres, and with access to an adjoining King Standard Bedroom, the Ebony Suite’s luxury living area leads out to a large 34 square metre private terrace, complete with patio furniture and stunning views across Mayfair.

When booked as a two-bedroom suite, guests can also make use of the suite’s separate entrance, which doubles up as a private lobby – perfect for receiving visitors.

Incorporating the latest designs from TOTO, the world’s leading bathroom manufacturer, guests can experience the chic and stylish TOTO Washlet, the most advanced lavatory around.

Its futuristic design features a heated seat and integrated bidet with water temperature and massage functions – all operated via a wall-mounted remote control panel.

General Manager at the May Fair, Anthony Lee, commented: “The Ebony Suite combines luxury comfort with the latest in technological advancements.

“A bedroom; a bath – these are not just functional; they’re experiential. At The May Fair we offer our guests an exciting, memorable experience and the Ebony Suite truly embodies this.”

Cigar Room

Successful, stylish, ‘experience seekers’ will also be courted by The May Fair this summer, with the opening of a new Cigar Room.

Designed to be the best COSA (cosy, outdoor smoking area) in London, the newly created Cigar Experience will offer the finest products from Hunters & Frankau including the Habanos, of which they are sole exporters, plus exclusive products on the smoking menu unique to the May Fair.

There is no doubt that the Cigar Room at The May Fair will attract Cigar aficionados from all over the world, but as you would expect from this hotel, they will be turning the concept of Cigars on its head.

The May Fair have identified a growing demand for this traditionally male-dominated pastime from the aspirational female market and so will be looking to create a more ‘feminine experience’ through the use of cutting edge and stimulating design.

Plans are in place for “hanging gardens” and striking chain mail clad walls.

Live fireplaces will also add to the theatre of the space in colder months.

Individual humidors will be provided, so that smokers can leave their Cigars in perfect condition for future enjoyment.

And the newly appointed Cigar Concierge will invite smokers to trial new brands and latest releases with experts who will talk through the specific qualities and tastes of each.

Expanding the experience, the finest Cognacs, Armagnacs and high end single malts will be joined by a Martini trolley and vintage champagnes from the hotel’s renowned “150 at the May Fair”.

“Staying at the May Fair is all about a blend of experiences unique to our hotel,” added Lee.

“With the Cigar Room we are creating somewhere our guests can feel relaxed and at ease while indulging in their passion for fine cigars.

“When we launched, the May Fair transformed and made five star luxury inclusive. Now we will do something similar for cigar smoking; banishing the gentleman’s club atmosphere and catering for women, the stylish and successful and, of course, the more traditional cigar connoisseur.”
