Marriott opens second hotel in Mexico

Marriott has opened its second hotel in Mexico city with the debut of the 221-guestroom JW Marriott Mexico City Santa Fe.

The hotel, located in the upscale residential district of Santa Fe, offers two restaurants: Quattro, which has an Italian menu and Cua, for Mexican fine dining.

For meetings, the hotel has more than 13,100 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a 9,140-square-foot ballroom.

Meanwhile the executive lounge is open 24 hours and available to guests in executive level rooms.

Guestrooms feature high-speed internet, 42-inch plasma television, an iPod and iPad docking station, wireless telephones with voicemail, Nespresso coffee machines and aromatherapy bathroom amenities.

The hotel also has a fitness center and the Oriental Wellness Spa, which has five treatment rooms, saunas, vapor rooms, spa baths and a meditation area.

Marriott has 55 JW Marriott hotels worldwide and is planning to expand that to 78 within the next three years.
