Mariott - General Manager ‘Returns Home’ to New Chicago Position

Njie began his hotel career in 2002 with Davidson Hotel Company, the Chicago Marriott’s management company, working first as Rooms Director and Hotel Manager before obtaining his first General Manager’s position in 2007 at the Embassy Suites Airport Hotel in Pittsburgh. Njie remained steadfast at the hotel through a new management acquisition but then later rejoined Davidson as Hotel Manager at the Doubletree Miami Mart Hotel, in September of 2008. Six months later, transitioning through a property sale, he assumed the position of General Manager at that hotel continuing under the new ownership until July of 2010 when he again had the opportunity to rejoin the Davidson Hotel Company for a task force assignment in Ann Arbor, MI.

“It feels great to be back with Davidson,” said Njie when asked about his return to the Davidson Company and his new position at the Chicago Marriott hotel near Rush Medical Center. “It feels like returning home. I also could not have asked for a better team than this group at this property.”
