Virgin Atlantic has confirmed marketing director Simon Lloyd is to leave the company part of a management restructure.

Following his departure, his marketing role will be taken on by global sales director Maria Sebastian.

Sebastian joined Virgin last summer after more than 15 years with American Airlines.

In a statement a spokesman for Virgin said: “Maria Sebastian will take on the expanded role of director of sales and marketing and will build on the great work carried out by Simon in launching the ‘Flying in the Face of Ordinary’ campaign.”
