Legend Extreme brings Summer Showcase to South Africa

Legend Extreme brings Summer Showcase to South Africa

Those innovative people in Limpopo, South Africa, never seem to do anything like anyone else.

Now Legend Golf & Safari Resort has opened its new clubhouse and, yet again, it is wildly different.

The list of unique features at Legend Golf & Safari Resort seems to just go on and on.

First there was the Extreme 19th, the world’s longest and highest Par 3, then the Signature Golf Course, designed by 18 of the world’s finest players.

The ten-hole Tribute Course was added, paying homage to some of the greatest par three on the planet.

Now the new clubhouse has opened with a fantastic four day launch event - the Legend Extreme Summer Showcase.

The event kicked off not only with a spectacular golf day on their world-renowned 18-hole Signature Golf Course, but also with a world record!

Heinrich du Preez and Cade Larkan left Hartebeespoort Dam in Gauteng at 2:30 on Wednesday, November 26th with a golf cart and drove all the way to Legend Golf & Safari Resort in Limpopo to arrive the next day at 10:30!

Although this is not an official world record yet, it is definitely a very extreme thing to do and fits in perfectly with all the extreme activities which guests could partake in over the weekend.

The new Signature Clubhouse at Legend Golf & Safari Resort

From playing the Extreme 19th, watching ballet in the bush, having a wine tasting in the middle of the big five conservancy and listening to live music in the boma, to a special Little Legends Program, water sports, adventure activities, extreme golf competitions and scenic helicopter flights.

Guests seemed to enjoy every minute of the activities on offer during the day at Legend’s Summer Showcase.

If that wasn’t enough, guests we’re able to enjoy drinks and entertainment on the Clubhouse Rooftop, followed by exquisite cuisine at the Gala Dinners.

Amidst all of the weekend festivities, the new Signature clubhouse has now been officially opened!

And wow – what a clubhouse it is!

The five organically shaped clubhouse buildings radiate from a central space, the feel is of an open, spacious, very African complex with modern interiors and facilities.

Spacious changing rooms, a unique members’ lounge and rooftop, a large restaurant and more intimate private dining area all combined to create more than just a clubhouse.

And of course being on the edge of the 22,000 hectare big five Entabeni Safari Conservancy there has to be a Boma…the most traditional of African structures.

The back of the boma has specially-built braai areas, a children’s play area and plunge pool, as well as a walkway leading to a viewing platform from where views across the resort really bring home the enormity of the Legend development.

With this unique four day launch event, Legend Golf & Safari Resort showed once again that it will continue to impress and surprise all who have the opportunity to visit this wildly different resort.
