kulula signs on Sabre

kulula, South Africa’s first low-cost airline, has signed a multi-year distribution agreement with Sabre, including selling the airline’s ancillary products and services in the Sabre global distribution system (GDS).

The airlines’ fare and schedule information will be available to Sabre travel agents worldwide, with real-time seat availability.

Sabre was also selected to provide its SabreSonic Customer Sales & Service, the industry’s leading reservations system that gives airlines the opportunity to customise their passenger’s experience while increasing revenues by offering value-added products and services.

“kulula is a growing and important carrier in the region and we look forward helping them with their continued expansion plans by providing them access to the broadest travel audience,” said Hamish Broom, Sabre commercial director, airline distribution, EMEA.

Sabre’s distribution agreement with kulula further expands the number of low-cost airlines carriers that have signed distribution agreements, proving the value the GDS.
