Jim Fitzpatrick announced as GTMC AGM speaker
The GTMC, the UK’s leading professional industry body representing travel management companies, has announced that the Shadow Minister of Transport, Jim Fitzpatrick MP, will be the guest speaker at the prestigious lunch following the organisation’s AGM.
A Labour MP since 1997, Glaswegian Fitzpatrick is currently the Member for Popular and Limehouse and was appointed Shadow Minister for Transport following the 2010 election. No stranger to aviation issues he served as Minister for Aviation, Shipping and Road Safety In the Labour government between 2006 -7. Prior to his parliamentary career Fitzpatrick was a firefighter with the London Fire Brigade.
The GTMC AGM and lunch will be held at The London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square on 28 January. The AGM is a members only event; the lunch is attended by members, GTMC partners and industry guests.
The occasion will be the first official event attended by new GTMC chief executive Paul Wait, who took up the role on 2 January 2013.
