Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa hosts Middle East Golf Classic

Guests have teed off at the finest championship golf course in the Middle East as the World Travel Awards curtain-raiser comes to town.

The Middle East Golf Classic welcomed players from across the region to Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa in Dubai, ahead of the WTA Middle East Gala Ceremony this evening.

Guests played the nine-hole, par 36 Jebel Ali course as part of the celebrations surrounding the ceremony.

The event – open to attendees of the Gala Ceremony - included complimentary green fees, electric car hire, club hire, a sleeve of three logo balls, on course drinks, tournament prizes, buffet lunch and after-play drinks.

It is not for nothing that Jebel Ali known as the Middle East’s Leading Golf Resort by the World Travel Awards.

Golfers can enjoy the delights of playing a course used by legendary players including Tiger Woods and Ernie Els.

The nine-hole, par 36, championship standard course is situated within the idyllic grounds of the resort.

Designed by Peter Harradine and opened in 1998, each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs and original desert flora and also features a saltwater lake which comes into play on five holes.

The wooden gazebos, views of the Arabian Gulf and peacocks which freely roam the fairways have added a special charm to this course that is a fair and exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.
