UK-based tour operator JacTravel, best known for its extensive range of hotels online and inbound travel services, has recruited Naomi Reed to grow its client base in the USA and Canada.

Reed joins from lastminute.com – Travelocity’s UK business-to-consumer brand - where she was head of supply.

In her new role Reed will be travelling frequently to North America, meeting with key industry tour operators, OTAs and travel technology platforms to provide them with direct access to JacTravel’s inventory, which includes over 6,000 directly contracted hotels in more than 550 cities worldwide. 

Trade customers can access these properties on line on a net rate basis. 

JacTravel’s director of online, Angela Skelly, said: “We are delighted to have attracted somebody of Naomi’s calibre. 

“Her knowledge of the industry and understanding of hotel distribution methodologies are impressive and her commercial acumen will stand her in great stead in this role.”

Over the coming year, JacTravel plans to build its portfolio of contracted hotels to 10,000.

Following her appointment Reed said: “What really attracted me to JacTravel was the opportunity to work for such a dynamic company with an already strong international presence, focused on further growth.”
